Shipping Documents
Standard Export Document Set
Every shipment is supported by a complete set of documents prepared for smooth customs clearance at your port. Requirements differ by country, product and bank, so please always confirm with your clearing agent; the list below is general guidance.
- Commercial invoice — seller and buyer details, description, HS code, quantity, unit price, Incoterm and total value. GCC customs usually require invoices to be signed and stamped; some buyers require chamber or embassy attestation.
- Packing list — crate/bundle/pallet-wise details with net and gross weights, slab numbers and measurements.
- Certificate of origin — issued and attested by an Indian chamber of commerce or export promotion council (non-preferential), confirming Indian origin.
- Bill of lading (B/L) — issued by the shipping line or NVOCC; original, telex release or sea waybill as agreed.
- Fumigation certificate / ISPM-15 — for wooden crates, pallets and A-frames; a phytosanitary certificate is issued if your country or L/C requires it.
- Insurance certificate — for CIF shipments (normally 110% of invoice value).
- Test reports & product certificates — ASTM/ISO/EN reports, factory ISO certificate, CE declarations where applicable.
- SASO / SABER certificates (Saudi Arabia) — product and shipment certificates of conformity are required for many regulated products, including some building materials and sanitary ware. We help with the technical file; the importer registers the shipment on SABER.

Payment & Incoterms
Payment Terms and Incoterms 2020
Payment terms
- T/T (telegraphic transfer) — typically 30% advance with the order and 70% against a scanned copy of the bill of lading, before original documents or telex release.
- L/C at sight — an irrevocable letter of credit issued by a bank acceptable to us, ideally confirmed. Documents are presented through our bank as per the L/C terms.
- Other terms (CAD/DP) may be considered for established buyers.
Incoterms we quote
- FOB (Free On Board) Mundra / Kandla / Nhava Sheva — we deliver the goods on board your nominated vessel; you arrange freight and insurance.
- CFR (Cost and Freight) — we pay ocean freight to your port; risk passes to you once goods are on board in India.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) — as CFR plus minimum marine insurance arranged by us.
Destination charges, customs duty (generally around 5% under the GCC common external tariff for most building materials — check the current rate for your product), VAT and local delivery are paid by the importer unless agreed otherwise.
